TL;DR: Haptix does not send your timers, settings, usage analytics, or diagnostics to us automatically. App data stays on your iPhone and, when you use the Watch app, your paired Apple Watch. Diagnostic data leaves the app only when you choose to share an export.

The Short Version

We built Haptix to be privacy-first. The app has no developer-operated account, advertising, analytics, or tracking service. We do not automatically receive your timers, settings, usage patterns, or diagnostics.

App Data and Apple Watch

Your timers, segments, and preferences are stored locally using Apple's built-in storage systems. If you use Haptix on Apple Watch, the app transfers the timer information and current timer state needed for the Watch experience between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This paired-device transfer is not sent to Haptix or to a Haptix server.

Local Diagnostics and Support Exports

Haptix receives system-generated performance metrics and diagnostic reports from Apple's MetricKit framework and keeps up to 20 of those reports in the app's local storage. These reports can include technical details about app performance, hangs, crashes, and the device environment. Haptix does not upload them automatically.

You can review, delete, or create a diagnostic export from the app. An export leaves the app only when you intentionally use Apple's share sheet and choose a destination. The destination you select receives the exported file under its own privacy terms.

Apple Services

Downloading, purchasing, and using Haptix can involve Apple services such as the App Store, TestFlight, StoreKit, MetricKit, local notifications, and WatchConnectivity. Apple may process information under Apple's Privacy Policy. You can manage device analytics in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

The Haptix app does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We don't use:

This Website

The Haptix website source does not include third-party analytics, advertising, trackers, or remote web fonts. Before a production deployment is approved, an automated check confirms that the hosting layer has not injected analytics, email decoders, or other third-party runtime code. The site uses your browser's local and session storage to remember optional page preferences and interactive-guide progress on your device. The hosting infrastructure may process standard request information, such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp, to deliver and secure the site.

Links to Apple, Reddit, or your email application take you to services governed by their own privacy terms. No information is sent to those services merely because a link appears on this page; a request occurs when you choose to follow the link.

Information You Choose to Send

If you contact us by email or Reddit, or choose us as the destination for a diagnostic export, we receive the information you intentionally send, along with information the communication service ordinarily provides to recipients. We use it to respond to your request, troubleshoot Haptix, and improve the app. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.

Children's Privacy

Haptix does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If a child contacts us or sends a diagnostic export, a parent or guardian can ask us to delete that information using the contact details below.
